Human Trafficking Event

Human Trafficking Training Event

Nancy Gallinaro

Nancy is the Founder and Executive Director of Just Love Worldwide (JLW), an Anti-Trafficking, Non-Profit in Westbrook Maine, dedicated to the eradication of Human Trafficking!

Nancy first learned of sex trafficking in Florida in 2012 and immediately went to work to find ways to get in the fight. After accepting all training opportunities Nancy was chosen to volunteer in a safe house for minor girls who had been trafficked for sex in South Florida.

When asked how someone without professional training could work with children who had suffered such trauma, Nancy replied “I Just Love them." That theme has stayed with her even after leaving Florida for Maine, her home state in 2014. Filling the gaps in services and assistance is JLW's goal. Giving Love, developing relationships and meeting basic needs provides the support, encouragement and hope a person needs to make that step to freedom and stay there!

One of JLW goals is to teach as many people as possible about the horrors of sex trafficking so that parents and children can recognize what it is and how to stop it before it happens.

Tricia Grant

Tricia is the Co-Director of the Not Here Justice in Action Network and the Community Engagement Manager for Amirah. A strong advocate for survivors and youth vulnerable to exploitation, and a leader in the anti-trafficking movement, she is also the Founder and Director of If Only 1.

Tricia is a survivor of domestic minor sex trafficking who now educates and mentors youth and adults in large group and one-on-one settings about the reality of human trafficking and exploitation. Having been trafficked in Maine and throughout New England when she was 15 and living on her own with her little boy, Tricia has been able to connect deeply with at-risk youth and encourage victims of trafficking/exploitation and sexual trauma as they move forward in their healing process. She shares her story with the hope that it will help others understand that trafficking can happen to anyone anywhere and prevent victims from waiting 16 years to talk about it, as she did.
